Hi — I'm Eddy. I'm a Machine Learning Engineer at Fraym where I spend my days wrangling geospatial data, building ML pipelines, and convincing AWS to do what I want (it rarely listens the first time).

I grew up on the slopes of Mt. Elgon in western Kenya, which means I have strong opinions about tea, coffee, maize (definitely not corn), and altitude. I eventually made my way to UC San Diego for grad school and just... never left California. You've seen the weather.

When I'm not staring at a terminal, I'm in the garage building things with wood (yes, I own too many clamps), tinkering with Raspberry Pis that definitely serve a purpose, or getting unreasonably invested in a fútbol match - or soccer, as my daughter keeps reminding me.

I love meeting people and talking about ideas, but I recharge best with a book, a long run, or some waves.

I live in San Diego with my wife Liz, and my children, who run the household.
